One Week From Today

The Number 7

One week from today we will be leaving on a jet plane. 

Our flight leaves SFO at 1:00PM and arrives in Seattle at 3:05PM. We spend the night in a hotel near the SEATAC airport, try to visit the space needle and get some dinner before we try to get some sleep. First thing in the morning we head back to the airport and catch our flight to Beijing, a 14 hour ride. 

Our trip really starts in Beijing. We will be there for 5 days (Yes! We are bringing face masks to deal with the pollution). After our stay in Beijing we ride the bullet train to Nanjing. Nanjing is the city where we first met Wei Wei on September 5, 2005 and became a family. Our time in Nanjing is split by a two day stay in Norah's birth city, Gaoyou. We will visit her SWI and also go to the place where she was left as a baby. Gaoyou will be quite an experience for us all, especially Norah. Please keep her in your good thoughts. We will have one final afternoon in Nanjing and time, hopefully, to visit the Buddhist temple where Norah was blessed as a baby, before flying down to Southern China and the Guangdong Province. We will be staying at the China Hotel in Guangzhou this time. A different hotel than the Garden Hotel where we stayed at in 2005. This hotel may not be quite as fancy, but it has two parks we can walk to close by and a street with traditional shops and local food to check out...  We will have 1 day to get ourselves ready and then we will meet Taj Jiang on Monday January 25th. 

7 days to go and we are starting to feel like we may just be ready.....
